A pair of curated novellas in a single book.
We are a new indie book publisher that wants to celebrate novellas – short books of around 150 pages that can be read in an afternoon.
Our books are locally printed in a special double style – or tête-bêche if you want to get fancy – that allows for two novellas, each with their own beautiful front cover, to fit into a single convenient format.
We feel that novellas should be celebrated more as they are a great length for a hectic world.
Have you ever said you don’t have time to read books? What you’re really saying is you don’t have time to read novels.
Being shorter, usually fewer than 200 pages, novellas will fit into anyone’s lifestyle and often after reading a few you’ll realise that you actually do have time to read that 7-book fantasy series.
Think of them as gateway books.
How Does It Work?
We work with a variety of writers – both established and new – that want to create something a bit different to the norm.
Two novellas are then selected to be printed together – maybe they are both set around the same theme or event, or maybe similar genres, or maybe they juxtapose each other brilliantly.
Sometimes these are already published novellas that we fell in love with, and sometimes they are completely new unpublished – and even unwritten – stories that we got super excited about and just had to have.
We then work with the writers and our artist to create the beautifully minimal cover designs that distill each novella down to its purest element.
Then with everything ready to go we can list them here and start telling the world about them, and once the required pre-orders are made ( exact print run lengths are based on a variety of factors and are decided on a case-by-case basis ) the books are then sent to the printers.
By doing it this way we can work with more experimental authors and stories because we get a guaranteed number of sales before any books are printed.

Some pairings are great because they fit, and some are great because they’re different.
We have all types here.
Designed
With strikingly minimalist covers designed by Richard J. Moir that perfectly distill the essence of each story down to its base parts you’ll love displaying them, if you’re that way inclined.
Your only trouble will be deciding which story to show off!
Print Runs
With limited print runs we are able to take more risks with our choices of publications.
This allows us to experiment with things that might not be commercially friendly enough for the bigger publishers.
Voices
As a new and very small indie, we are keen to promote diversity in our publishing and are excited to be able to work with authors who are less represented in traditional publishing.
Friendly
We love our authors and want them to be able to continue writing.
To that end we make sure they get paid higher royalties than the industry standard and retain full control over their work.
Get To Know The Team
We’re a small team but that just makes it easy for us to all remember each other’s names.
